Ruthie is a minor character in BoJack Horseman. She appears in the episode, Ruthie in Season 4. Ruthie is a fictional descendant of Princess Carolyn.
Personality
Ruthie is a bright, intelligent young cat. Princess Carolyn also calls her poised and funny.
Physical Appearance
Ruthie looks similar to her great-great-great-grandmother. She has pale pink fur with a ponytail on the top of her head that is held up straight by two green bands and comes to a curl at the top.
She is seen wearing a light purple spacesuit with an elaborate red brocade-style collar with a white decorative border, two checkered purple patches on the sleeves, and light pink space boots with red stripes with light purple soles and straps.
She wears a gold necklace with an upside-down triangle and red dot in the center that has been passed down for generations and was worn by Princess Carolyn herself.
Background
Season 4
Ruthie first appears in the episode of the same name, shown in the 2120s giving her middle-school class, taught by Mrs. Teachbot, a presentation about her ancestor Princess Carolyn, about when she had a particularly awful day.
However, it is tragically revealed that "Ruthie" was made up by Princess Carolyn as a means of coping with the trauma of multiple miscarriages.
Trivia
- Ruthie is one of two characters who was made up as a coping strategy, the other being Harper Horseman, who was imagined by BoJack Horseman.
- She may have been based on Princess Carolyn's childhood self.
- She shares the same namesake as Ruthie, Princess Carolyn's real daughter.
