|“||I can do whatever I what. I'm President of the Goddamn United States of America!||”|
—Richard Nixon, The Shot
Richard Milhous Nixon was the 37th president of the United States from January 20, 1969-August 9, 1974.
Nixon was a human man with grey combed over hair with a receding hairline, thick black eyebrows, and bags under his eyes. He has a heavier build. He bears a strong resemblance to the real Nixon.
He wears a grey business jacket, white collared button-down jacket, dress pants, and dress shoes.
Nixon is an exaggerated version of his real-life counterpart.
When the film being made about Secretariat cuts out the scene with Nixon making the deal, BoJack Horseman, the lead star, and Kelsey Jannings sneak to the Nixon Museum and film the scene. The reason it was cut out is that it was too dark and gritty, and the film was changed to be more family-friendly.
Lenny Turteltaub, the producer of the film was not happy about them sneaking around behind his back, and fired Kelsey.
A security guard at the Nixon Museum claims to be Richard Nixon's son. He wanted to play Richard Nixon in a film but BoJack and Kelsey lied to him, telling him he would be a part of the film but in actual fact, they were never going to use that footage with the security guard in it in the film. They simply fabricated it so the police would not be called.
- Checkers was a real dog owned by Richard Nixon.
