Hey PicklePack!

—Pickles, addressing her followers whenever she goes live on TweedFeed

Introduction

Pickles Aplenty is a recurring character in Season 5 and Season 6 of BoJack Horseman. She was a waitress at Elefanté .

Pickles is introduced in The Dog Days Are Over in Season 5, where she begins dating Mr. Peanutbutter as his divorce with Diane is being finalized. He proposes to her in the season 5 finale to avoid telling her he cheated on her with Diane.

After learning the truth, they agree she can sleep with multiple guys until she finds the right one to cheat on him with, although this ends up with her leaving him for Joey Pogo to become the latter’s social media director, and they officially break up via text message in Xerox of a Xerox in Season 6.

Physical Appearance

Pickles is a female pug dog. She has cream fur with a taupe brown muzzle, ears, and spots on her eyes, and a dark brown beauty mark on her cheek. She has wrinkles around her eyebrows, like real-life pug dogs.

Her waitress uniform consists of a button-down, short-sleeved white collared shirt, a beige button-down vest with maroon stripes on the shoulders, a black bow-tie, and black pants and shoes. She sometimes has a pen tucked into the front of her vest.

Her outfit outside of work is a cropped orange turtleneck shirt with mid-length sleeves and with three white stripes on the bottom, sleeves, and around the collar underneath navy blue overalls, and purple sandals with a slight heel.

Personality

Pickles is a lot like Mr. Peanutbutter. She is very sweet, cheerful, playful, and excitable. Pickles has all the characteristics of a small, excited dog. She can also be rather ditzy, along with being scatterbrained and a bit forgetful.

She is also somewhat immature and obsessed with social media. Pickles wants to be an influencer and seems to find a good deal of validation from her fans and the attention she gets from them. She has been shown to heavily rely on them for advice and comfort.

However, she does get unamused and eventually upset, when Mr. Peanutbutter keeps bringing up his multiple ex-wives at the Halloween party.

He talks about how they used to be "lively and fun"—which eventually makes her yell at him, lock herself in the bathroom, and cry due to the pressure. She worries she is just a rebound girl, but a pep talk from Diane reassures her confidence.

However, she does seem to play up her ditziness and energy to impress Mr. Peanutbutter. This ironically makes him a bit unnerved as he begins to actually realize the age difference between them. It's implied to be one of the reasons he cheated on her with Diane, besides the fact he still had feelings for her.

Background

History

Pickles was born sometimes between May 21-June 21, 1993.

She became a social media personality around 2013, uploading videos such as makeup tutorials and vlogs under the name Pickles_Pretties93 on YouZone,@picklesaplenty93 on FACE-feed, @picklesaplenty on Zone Face, and PicklePack, which is also what her fan base is referred to, on Tweed Feed.

Pickles became considerably popular, as she was shown to have over five hundred followers on Zone Face by 2017. Pickles also has thousands of likes on Tweed Feed, with the statistics giving her high ratings on the influence scale. At that time she started dating and eventually got engaged to, Mr. Peanutbutter, which likely may have garnered her more attention.

Season 5

Pickles first appears in The Dog Days Are Over, as a waitress at BoJack's restaurant, Elefanté. She immediately hits off with Mr. Peanutbutter, sharing a near-identical upbeat cheerful personality to his.

She goes to his housewarming party, where the two get close and kiss—which Diane is initially not bothered by.

However, when he puts his hand on the small of Pickles' back, Diane realizes he'll never love her like that again, and she leaves the party sobbing and flies to Vietnam to get away from L.A.

After Mr. Peanutbutter picks Diane up from the airport and dropping her back at her apartment, giving her the signed divorce papers, he tells Diane he's seeing Pickles romantically. Diane tells him she's happy for him.

In Planned Obsolescence, she waits on BoJack and Gina when they have dinner at Elefante.

She meets up with Gina in the bathroom and talks about how they're both dating celebrities.

After Gina says she's not dating anyone, she tells Pickles to not have high expectations when it comes to dating celebrities, especially since Mr. Peanutbutter just got divorced.

Mr. Peanutbutter surprise Pickles, by picking her up from work, and inviting her to go with him to the desert so they can watch the international space station being blown up.

Pickles is excited, but she tells Mr. Peanutbutter a wise person in the bathroom gave her advice, which makes her worry they're moving too fast. Pickles suggests they should wait a little bit before going on their next date. Mr. Peanutbutter accepts, but Pickles still wants to go with him to the desert—but it's not a date. The two decide, since they're both going, they'll carpool in his limo.

The limo ride is a bit awkward since their only options of what to listen to are either romantic music or a Girl Croosh podcast starring Diane, where she brings up her divorce from Mr. Peanutbutter and the fact he's dating someone over twenty years younger than him.

The two decide to stop for fast food, as its not considered date food, at what they think is a KFC but is actually a fancy restaurant. While they eat, they begin to admit things they wouldn't say on a date. Mr. Peanutbutter accidentally blurts out he still has feelings for Diane.

This puts a damper on the mood when Mr. Peanutbutter tries to apologize, Pickles says they should just finish eating and go to watch the explosion.

She refuses to sit next to him under his blanket and says she knows it's not a good time for him to be in a relationship because he just got divorced. Mr. Peanutbutter laughs and agrees with this, but tells Pickles he wants her to know everything about him because he really likes her. Pickles accepts and happily cuddles with him under the blanket. The episode ends, with them making out, as the space station explodes in the distant sky.

S5E08 2018 Mr Peanutbutter and Pickles driving to the Halloween party

Mr. Peanutbutter and Pickles driving to the Halloween party.

She and Mr. Peanutbutter go to BoJack's 25th annual Halloween party in Mr. Peanutbutter's Boos. They are wearing matching costumes inspired by a new social media app called "Tweed Feed," which are tweed outfits with dinner plates, silverware, and plastic food taped to them. Pickles is excited to go to her first fancy Hollywoo party.

However, constantly hearing about Mr. Peanutbutter's ex-wives, and the fact Diane is at the party, Pickles feels hurt—as she feels she is being compared to his exes. She gets drunk and yelling at Mr. Peanutbutter when he asks if she wants to leave, and she runs into the bathroom crying.

This continues the tradition, of Mr. Peanutbutter causing one of his wives to get upset with him at the Halloween party, and eventually, become mean and bitter and end their marriage with him; which is showcased throughout the episode with Katrina, Jessica, and Diane in the years juxtaposed (1993, 2004, and 2009) respectively.

Mr. Peanutbutter is standing outside the bathroom, trying to get Pickles to come out. Diane walks up to him and asks what happened? He tells Diane that he keeps taking amazing women and ruining them. Diane says that she isn't ruined, and he says that his problem is that he doesn't listen.

She says that he keeps dating women in their twenties, so they aren't fully formed yet—he doesn't ruin them they just grow up. Mr. Peanutbutter asks how he should fix that. Diane says he either needs to date older women or grow up himself, otherwise, his girlfriends will keep outgrowing him. She walks into the bathroom to talk to Pickles.

Pickles is hungover and sitting in the bathtub. Diane gives her some water and tells her she understands that it's hard to be the new girlfriend. Pickles wonders if she's a rebound. Diane says that she was a rebound, but Mr. Peanutbutter loved her unconditionally for ten years.

She tells Pickles, Mr. Peanutbutter is fully devoted to whoever he is in a serious romantic relationship with, and Pickles that she's that girl now. Pickles reconciles with Mr. Peanutbutter. Diane leaves, saying she's going to take someone's helicopter home since she is unable to reach her car.

Pickles with Mr. Peanutbutter

Mr. Peanutbutter suggests to Pickles they go home, but Pickles wants to go to another party after they go home, and change costumes. She takes a selfie with Mr. Peanutbutter and happily exclaims that she never wants to grow up. Mr. Peanutbutter laughs nervously at this, seemingly due to him actually realizing how much younger Pickles is, compared to him.

In Head in the Clouds, she goes with Mr. Peanutbutter to the Philbert premier party. However, she leaves after the first five minutes of the screening of the first episode, as she had to text her friend. She states she hates the show because she didn't like seeing her sweet boyfriend play a mean cop who kills people.

Noticing that Mr. Peanutbutter is upset, Pickles then vows to go home, and commit to watching the entire season of the show—even if it kills her. Mr. Peanutbutter tries to stop her, but she leaves and yells that she loves him, and he sighs.

At the end of the episode, Mr. Peanutbutter drops Diane, who had a confrontation with BoJack earlier at her apartment, as she lost her parking ticket. After he assures her she's not a disaster when she calls herself one, and that he'd do anything for her, Diane invites Mr. Peanutbutter into her apartment.

The Stopped Show reveals that Mr. Peanutbutter cheated on Pickles and slept with Diane. He goes back to her apartment and asks if she could tell Pickles herself. He says he's not good at giving bad news and she is. Diane angrily refuses, saying it isn't right his ex-wife, should explain to his girlfriend that he cheated on her with his ex-wife. After they argue about this, Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter begin to make out and have sex again.

As they get dressed, Mr. Peanutbutter says he'll talk to Pickles—and tell her he and Diane are getting back together. Diane tells him she doesn't want to get back together with him, even though he still loves her.

Towards the end of the episode, he is with Pickles at Elefante. He tells her he has bad news, which upsets her. However, she assures him whatever happens, she won't stop loving him. Mr. Peanutbutter tries to tell her the truth about him cheating on her with Diane, but instead, he proposes to her.

Mr. Peanutbutter proposing to Pickles

Season 6

In The New Client, Mr. Peanutbutter arrives home. He spies Pickles, talking to her social media followers, through the window. He enters the house and greets Pickles, who is excited by the fact Mr. Peanutbutter is home. She jumps up and embraces Mr. Peanutbutter. Pickles then asks Mr. Peanutbutter to say hello to her followers.

Mr. Peanutbutter then says he loves charming internet memes. He then states he especially loves the distracted boyfriend meme. Mr. Peanutbutter then asks, "how could this man who loves her, betray her so flagrantly?" Pickles then says bye to her follower and asks Mr. Peanutbutter what's wrong. Mr. Peanutbutter asks what she means by that. Pickles tells him she notices he's been acting different lately. She says she first noticed it at the Philbert premiere when Mr. Peanutbutter came home smelling like Diane.

Pickles says after that, things went back to normal, but Mr. Peanutbutter got really weird around the time frame BoJack went to rehab. Pickles goes on to say, when Mr. Peanutbutter proposed to her that day, he once again smelled like Diane. Pickles then comes to the conclusion he feels guilty because his good friend is in rehab. Mr. Peanutbutter lies and says yes, that is the one and the only thing he feels guilty for. Pickles then suggests Mr. Peanutbutter goes to visit BoJack in rehab.

In Surprise!, There is a montage of Pickles doing various make-up tutorials for her followers and showcasing the events in her life before she met Mr. Peanutbutter. She talks about a break-up, a job interview as a systems analyst, getting fired as a systems analyst, getting a job as an air traffic controller, getting fired from the air traffic controller job, and finally getting a job as a waitress.

She then talks about meeting Mr. Peanutbutter and then announces they have moved in together. The two of them then show off their fancy new smart home, which has a Thunder Room. Pickles then talks about their engagement, saying Mr. Peanutbutter is still in shock. The camera then pans to Mr. Peanutbutter, who confirms their engagement.

Pickles and Mr. Peanutbutter then talk about a play they saw, which had a lot of dysfunctional relationships, and cheating in it. Pickles says she is glad she and Mr. Peanutbutter aren't like that. Mr. Peanutbutter asks her to turn the livestream off, so he can talk to her privately. Pickles excitedly says, she hopes it's something good. The next time she comes on camera, she tells her followers in tears that the wedding is off. This gets a lot of sad and angry reacts from her followers.

It is revealed earlier, Todd was planning a surprise wedding for Mr. Peanutbutter and Pickles.

Todd decided that since the wedding planning was stressing Mr. Peanutbutter out, he thought he would host a surprise wedding. Also, Pickles loves big surprises and grand gestures, and he wasn't doing anything except staying home and watching Princess Carolyn's terrible nannies.

Diane then asks Todd where Pickles and Mr. Peanutbutter are right now. Todd says he bought them tickets to see Angels in the Outfield. Diane asks if he means the movie. Todd clarifies he means the play, which is six hours long. Diane asks if he means Angels in America. Todd says, whatever it is, after watching a feel-good romantic comedy, that they will be in a great mood for the surprise wedding. Diane then asks where Pickles and Mr.

Todd announces Pickles and Mr. Peanutbtter are home. Todd excitedly tells everyone to hide and stay quiet. There is then a transition back to the beginning of the episode, with Pickles and Mr. Peanutbutter standing outside. Mr. Peanutbutter then tells Pickles to turn off the livestream, as he has something to tell her. Pickles says she hopes it's something good, and Mr. Peanutbutter nervously says it isn't, as they enter the house.

Mr. Peanutbutter says what he is about to confess brings him shame so he'd rather say it in the dark. Pickles then tells him not to be silly and commands the house to turn the lights on. The party-goers are seen in the background peeking out from their hiding spots. Mr. Peanutbutter blurts out that he cheated on Pickles. There are "shushing" noises heard in the background. The party-goers sneak back to their hiding spots.

Mr. Peanutbutter wonders if somebody said something. Pickles tells him not to change the subject. Her voice breaks, and with tears in her eyes she says "you cheated on me?" Mr, Peanutbutter tries to apologize for his infidelity. He says it was the worst mistake of his life. He tells her he once played Twister with Brian Singer, at Kevin Spacey's party, for Andy Dick's parole.

Mr. Peanutbutter tells her, he has been in the thunder room for months, trying to swallow his shame. He says he has been so racked with guilt, he left the door to the Thunder Room open. He then commands the door to close. Eduardo ends up being trapped in the thunder room.

Pickles then says just because he feels guilty, does not make it OK. The guests are seen in their various hiding places, trying to sneak around. Pickles says it is just like the time she didn't know there was going to be an encore at a Lady Gaga concert. She says the news makes her feel sad, hurt, and confused. Mr. Peanutbutter sighs sadly.

Pickles then questions why is she even talking to Mr. Peanutbutter. She says she is going to call her best friend Illana. Ilana Smith then looks around nervously for her phone, as she knows that'll give her away. Her phone is sitting on the end table. Pickles then questions if that Ilana can really relate to her anymore. She then says ever since best friend Ilana, got her new Sunday-to-Thursday job, she's become a real "See-You-Next Friday." Pickles then says she relates to Ilana Benson better, because she has nothing else going on.

Mr. Peanutbutter begs her not to tell the Ilanas about this. Pickles says she is telling everyone about this because she's a Gemini. Mr. Peanutbutter then says to think of his family, as they need him to be strong right now. Mr. Peanutbutter goes on to say Captain Peanutbutter feels like he is trapped in a loveless marriage with his wife. Captain looks at Mrs. Captain Peanutbutter guiltily. Pickles then asks anyone could really blame her. Pickles say every time she gets into a conversation with Captain she thinks, "if I were married to this guy I'd gnaw my own hand off just to get the ring off my body."

Mr. Peanutbutter retorts that at least no one in his family has anger issues. Pickles says her father has come a long way in his anger management classes. Mr. Peanutbutter then says Franco is "a hothead, with a little pug complex." He then goes on to say everyone always makes excuses for Franco's outbursts. This angers Franco, who is listening in on the conversation. More "shushing" noises are heard in the background, and Demi restrains Franco from giving away their hiding place.

He then goes on to talk about how Demi tries to provoke her husband. He then says he thinks the couple get off on that, and they make everyone else unwilling participants to their kinky foreplay. Pickles says, those are her parents and she doesn't want to think about it.

Mr. Peanutbutter then brings up Greg, the guy he met at the gas station. Pickles asks why is he bringing Greg up, and Mr. Peanutbutters says he doesn't know, but Greg sucks too. Greg is then seen in the background with tears in his eyes.

Pickles then says she knows who she needs right now. Mr. Peanutbutter begs Pickles not to TweedFeed about this, saying he understands the Pickle Pack is how she processes pain. Pickles says he is wrong, and the Pickle Pack is everything. She then gives examples of her subscribers being with her through thick and thin, and then yells "UNSUBSCRIBE" at Mr. Peanutbutter, and then throwing her engagement ring back on his face. Pickles the runs upstairs crying. Mr. Peanutbutter stares at the ring in his hand.

Pickles stands by the bed crying, on the opposite side of the room as Diane and BoJack. As she enters the closet from the door on the opposite side of the bed, BoJack and Diane come out crawling through the same door they came in from, and wedge themselves under the bed. Pickles comes out of the closet, having changed into more comfortable clothing, and flops herself on to the bed while livestreaming.

In tears, she tells the Pickle Pack that the wedding is off. BoJack and Diane peak out from under the bed, as Pickles is crying, and Diane gets a look of guilt on her face. BoJack looks at Diane and grunts like he knows what happened.

Downstairs, a remorseful Mr. Peanutbutter is in the kitchen, and he asks the freezer to dispense ice. Princess Carolyn who is holding Ruthie in her car seat and Todd crawl around the island, while Mr. Peanutbutter makes his way to the sink. Mr. Peanutbutter hears the sound of Pickles crying from upstairs, and runs up the staircase, saying out loud he needs to talk to her with concern in his voice.

Meanwhile upstairs, Pickles is livestreaming, and she's telling the Pickle Pack she's been hurt by guys before, as she walks towards the door. BoJack's head is seen peeking out from under the bed. One of her followers tells her she looks pretty when she cries, and she thanks them. Mr. Peanutbutter enters the room and Pickles glares at him. She tells him to leave her alone, and he tries to say something, Pickles then cuts him off saying one of her subscribers asked for a makeup tutorial. She then says that the tutorial is that they are never making up, as she shoves Mr. Peanutbutter out of the room, and commands the door to slam in his face.

Pickles then goes back into the closet, and says she'll give a tutorial on how to look like a "crying, pugly freak." Diane from under the bed turns on Pickles' livestream on her phone.

BoJack snatches Diane's phone from under the bed, and types in the live chat, that Pickels should ask Mr. Peanutbutter to take her to the park, and far away from the mouse. Pickles then questions what mouse. BoJack then types something, which Pickles says is a great idea. She walks out of the closet and commands the front door to open.

Pickles then asks the Pickle Pack, to help her choose the perfect outfit, for her outing with Mr. Peanutbutter. Pickles gets another idea from another follower named MarciFartz. She then calls out to Mr. Peanutbutter to cancel the park outing, and meet her in the closet.

Mr. Peanutbutter comes upstairs, and Pickles commands him to make her favorite beverage, the exact way she likes it. Mr, Peanutbutter obediently says he'll do it right away.

Pickles then reenters the closet. The others have found spots to hide behind the clothing racks. She then points out a caricature of Mr. Peanutbutter, which indicates he likes tennis and skateboarding. Pickles says Mr. Peanutbutter didn't share he had these interests, and she wonders what else he's been hiding from her. Pickles wonders in she simply just wasn't good enough for Mr. Peanutbutter. Pickles fans tell her how awesome and amazing she is.

She then concludes she's not the problem. Pickles flips the photos of Mr. Peanutbutter upside down and says she shouldn't even be in his house and decides to pack her suitcase and leave. BoJack is seen holding Ruthie on his shoulder in the back of the clothing rack.

Pickles gets her suitcase and says she'll check into a fancy hotel. Pickles starts grabbing various items of clothing off their hangers, and Princess Carolyn and Diane duck in the shadows to avoid being seen. Princess Carolyn tells Diane she hates to leave her hanging and leaps out. She then goes to the other side, to the opposite rack, where BoJack is with Ruthie.

Pickles unknowingly grabs Diane's arm, and wonders why she should leave, as Mr. Peanutbutter is the one who cheated. Diane takes off her jacket so that Pickles is grabbing the sleeve of her jacket, instead of her arm. Pickles then walks away, and Diane looks relieved. Pickles then starts packing Mr. Peanutbutter's clothes instead. Pickles then says she's so confused.

She then gets a message from t_chavez, with advice to take a bath. Todd then realizes she would have to come to the bathroom, and he completely forgot he was hiding in the bathtub. Pickles comes in the restroom and gets ready for her bath. Todd then ducks behind the laundry hamper, and he loses his beanie in a pile of dirty laundry. He puts underwear on his head instead of his beanie.

Mr. Peanutbutter then enters the bedroom. Mr. Peanutbutter says he knows boba in Pickles' favorite drink. He then says, but just the other day she said to him as a direct quote "whipped cream is the best thing in the world, keep it as far away from [her] as possible." Mr. Peanutbutter says he just wanted to circle back. Pickles is listening to music in the bathtub, completely unaware of anything else. Mr. Peanutbutter then goes on to say, he loves the challenge of trying to square two irreconcilable positions.

Just then, Pickles emerges from the restroom and a towel over her head. BoJack and Diane scurry towards the window. They make it out on to the roof but drop the sheets. Pickles then shuts the window. Todd has hidden under the laundry hamper and is escaping through the door. Mr. Peanutbutter is carrying two boba teas; one with whipped cream and one without.

Pickles walks out and says she hopes the boba doesn't have whipped cream, and Mr. Peanutbutter hands her the one without whipped cream. She then says now she does want the whipped cream after all. Mr. Peanutbutter turns around to realize that the other boba, which had the whipped cream, has disappeared.

Pickles says she doesn't want to be mad at Mr. Peanutbutter, and he says he still wants to marry her and asks her if that's what she wants as well. He pulls out the ring. She makes him promise to never lie to her again, which he does. Mr. Peanutbutter hands her the ring, and Pickles slips it back on her finger. She says if that was the only time he cheated, they can put it behind them. Mr. Peanutbutter blurts out it was one unit of cheating, comprised of two separate instances. He then says the spirit of it was once.

She says at least he confessed right away. Mr. Peanutbutter then tells her it was actually months ago. They are standing by the window, and Mr. Peanutbutter finally admits it was Diane. Diane who is listening from outside, on the roof, cringes at this. Pickles asks if he means the nice lady from the chew toy store.

Mr. Peanutbutter says he means his ex-wife, Diane. Pickles says that is much worse. She once again throws her ring at him. She then lets out a high-pitched scream, the frequency of which, breaks several picture frames and the window. Outside, on the ledge, BoJack and Diane try to doge the breaking glass. Pickles runs out of the house crying.

Mr. Peanutbutter goes outside to talk to Pickles. Pickles tells him that this should be the happiest time of her life, but because Mr. Peanutbutter did something stupid, she has to feel bad. She admits she still loves him and wants to marry him. Pickels says they can't go back to the way things were before and pretend like nothing happened because then she'll feel stupid.

She goes on to say Mr. Peanutbutter, cant do hurtful things anymore, because it's not okay. He silently nods and listens. Mr. Peanutbutter says he wants them to be even somehow. Pickles says the only way they can be even is if she also sleeps with someone else. Mr. Peanutbutter says they need to think of someone. Pickles suggests her high school boyfriend Buzzy.

Pickles then thinks it over again. She says Mr. Peanutbutter doesn't even know Buzzy. She says knowing the person is what would make them even. Pickles then suggest sleeping with both Buzzy and Tyler from Soul Cycle. Mr. Peanutbutter sounds shocked at the idea of her sleeping with two people. Pickles then says they can keep brainstorming. Mr. Peanutbutter says if they keep brainstorming, they can come up with a guy for Pickles to cheat on him with and things can be totally even, and everything can go back to normal and they can get married.

They hear the doorbell ring.

Diane then comes to the front door and apologizes to Pickles for cheating, saying it was her fault, and it'll never happen again. Diane says she probably lost her wallet under the bed in the master suite, and says if they find it, to mail it to her in Chicago because that's where she lives now.

The episode ends with BoJack carrying out Eduardo, who fainted in the thunder room. Princess Carolyn says she found Ruthie and had a blast. Todd then hands Pickles the boba and leaves. Mr. Peanutbutter comments that was odd, as he shuts the door behind them. Pickles' parents call, and Mr. Peanutbutter gets excited and tells her to put the phone on speaker.

In A Little Uneven, Is All, a flashback shows Pickles and Mr. Peanutbutter in a bar trying to convince a man named Carl to have sex with Pickles. Pickles goes on to explain that since Mr. Peanutbutter had sex with his ex-wife she needs to have sex with Carl so she and Mr. Peanutbutter could be even and things could be normal and Carl ultimately agrees.

Sometime later, Pickles then calls him again, and he asks how it went with Carl. She tells him that the sex was great, but there was no emotional connection. Mr. Peanutbutter tells her not to beat herself over it, she just met the guy. She elaborates, saying that what was part of the betrayal of Mr. Peanutbutter sleeping with Diane, is that they shared an intimate history.

If they’re really trying to level the playing field, then Pickles having sex with Carl doesn’t count. Mr. Peanutbutter tells Pickles to keep having sex with guys until she finds someone with who she has an intimate connection with. Pickles says that it might take a lot of guys, but she will do it if it will save their marriage. Mr. Peanutbutter responds by saying “that’s my girl," and walks past Princess Carolyn who mistakenly thinks that Mr. Peanutbutter is talking to her.

In A Quick One, While He's Away, she is seen working at Elefante in a non-speaking cameo.

In Intermediate Scene Study w/ BoJack Horseman, at Mr. Peanutbutter's house, Mr. Peanutbutter is explaining to Pickles and Joey Pogo his plan for getting even with Pickles so that Mr. Peanutbutter and Pickles can get married. Mr. Peanutbutter then gets a phone call with an offer to buy Elefante. Joey offers to go into business with him and Mr. Peanutbutter takes the offer.

In Sunk Cost and All That, Mr. Peanutbutter gets ready to talk to the reporters but he is interrupted by Joey telling him about a situation in the kitchen. Mr. Peanutbutter heads into the kitchen where he finds out the dishwashers all quit. Pickles and Joey then argue about who's at fault. Pickles then pulls Mr. Peanutbutter aside saying she needs to talk to him.

Tension builds between Pickles and Joey

In the meat locker, Pickles asks how much longer they have to continue working with Joey. Mr. Peanutbutter says he thought she loved Joey. Pickles says she loves his music but not him as a person. Mr. Peanutbutter says he could proposition some young men on set. Pickles then apologizes and says she will try to make this work for their relationship.

Pickles scolds Joey for not doing the dishes. Joey tells her manual labor featuring him is just not a fruitful collaboration so instead, he went out and bought new dishes. Pickles then questions why Mr. Peanutbutter thought she would like Joey. Joey then tells Pickles he doesn't want to be here either. Pickles then suggests they just tell Mr. Peanutbutter they have formed an emotional connection and are going to have sex. Joey asks why don't they just say they had sex. Pickles says lying is what got them into this mess in the first place.

Mr. Peanutbutter tells Paige and Max the story about his and Pickles plan to be even with each other due to his infidelity and Max tells him Pickles and Joey are in love. Mr. Peanutbutter then questions this. Max tells him Pickles flirts with Joey and follows him across the restaurant. Paige asks why would Pickles fall for a dashing young Joey when she has sweet, dependable, and boring Mr. Peanutbutter. Paige says she only tolerates him for work otherwise she can't stand him.

Max counters no she is in love with him even though she'd never admitted it to herself. Paige questions about the boy. Max says sure he puts on a good front and puts up a good fight but if Pickles were to confess her love it would drop his heart down an elevator shaft and bring it back up to his throat. Mr. Peanutbutter says he's pretty sure they hate each other.

Pickles and Joey come to Mr. Peanutbutter's table and they announce that they have developed feelings for each other and are now going to make love. Mr. Peanutbutter tells them that's great seeing that's just what they wanted.

At Elefino, Pickles and Joey finish having sex in the meat locker. Pickles tells Joey she will see him later and he puts his hoodie on her shoulders when he realizes she is shivering. Joey then apologizes for being awful to Pickles earlier and says since Mr. Peanutbutter has been such a good friend it would be weird having sex with his fiance but once they were in it it felt like "two naked hearts raw and exposed but safe in the home they found in each other." Joey then wishes Pickles best of luck with the wedding and that he hopes to have what Pickles has with Mr. Peanutbutter.

Joey then says he can't even imagine getting married right now and that he can't even commit to a social media director. Pickles questions why not and Joey tells her he has a hard time because he has trouble finding someone who gets his brand. Pickles asks, "sexy?" Joey tells her that's exactly right and she totally gets him. He then tells her if she knows someone who would be good for the job to let him know. She promises to let him know and hands him his jacket back.

Joey then talks about boarding his plane alone to go on tour and says his gate number so he doesn't forget it as he leaves the kitchen. Pickles then sadly says goodbye to him as she looks through the window.

Later,

Pickles tells Mr. Peanutbutter she and Joey had sex so now she and Mr. Peanutbutter are even and everything can go back to normal. Mr. Peanutbutter starts to say they should set a date for the wedding but he is interrupted by Pickles telling him about the job opportunity with Joey Pogo. She tells him she has to leave tonight and could be gone a while. Pickles tells him she is so confused.

Mr. Peanutbutter encourages her to seek out the job opportunity and go on Joey's tour. She asks if they can plan the wedding when she comes back and he sadly tells her sure they can as it sounds like a good compromise. Pickles excitedly says she has to go and gives Mr. Peanutbutter a final hug and kiss thanking him for everything before running off.

In Xerox of a Xerox, Pickles officially breaks up with Mr. Peanutbutter via text message.
